Sustainability Advisor

We have a fantastic 6-month opportunity for a Postgraduate/Graduate to join Cooper Parry and our Head of Sustainability to drive forward our ambitious sustainability agenda and support the set-up of the internal sustainability department.

In our 3 Year Vision we committed to balance purpose and profit, we are B-Corp certified and, on our way to net zero. This position is critical to helping us achieve our ambitions.

What you’ll be up to:

The successful candidate will support our Head of Sustainability with the following projects:

  • B Corp certification
  • Impact Report
  • Carbon Inventory exercise
  • Net Zero strategy
  • Sustainability Sussed Community and Events
  • Employee engagement programme

Day to day you can expect:

  • Supporting the team with research and data gathering and insights for carbon inventory and impact report.
  • Liaise with internal / external stakeholders leveraging contacts and networks to support the development of the sustainability department.
  • Preparing guidance to assist the business in managing the net zero transition.

  • Develop ways of working, processes and templates where needed.

  • Track progress on sustainability targets.

  • Maintain key forms, reports and documentation.
  • Adopting a proactive approach to improving performance and promoting sustainability to all staff.
  • Keep up to date with legislation, best practice and the market insights.

What we’re looking for..

  • Understanding of key sustainability issues and how they can be integrated into business to create measurable value.
  • Understanding of current sustainability standards, tools and trends. Preferable: GHG Protocol, SDG, SBTi.
  • The ability to balance your commitment to the environment with the need to be corporate and business minded.

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills for analysing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data, carrying out research, writing reports and making recommendations.

  • High level of competence using standard software packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to collaborate and build effective working relationships.
  • Confidence to present information to various stakeholders
  • Positive, proactive & solution focussed.
  • Ability to roll sleeves up and get stuck in. Ability to multitask.

This opportunity can offer flexible working hours if you are completing a post grad course.
